Persecution of Bahá'ís in Iran

In an open letter dated March 9, 2009, scholars and academic specialists in the fields of Middle Eastern and Iranian studies call on the Islamic Republic of Iran to put an end to human rights abuses against Baha’is in Iran.

The Charlottesville Daily Progress published an article titled “Baha’is find safe place to practice faith” about a local Baha’i family who settled in the area after escaping religious persecution in Iran.

Kit Bigelow, director of external affairs for the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the U.S. was a guest on the Interfaith Alliance’s “State of Belief” radio show. Ms. Bigelow commented on the current persecution of the Baha’is in Iran. You can read more about the program here
