Ask faculty or student associations to pass resolutions on this issue and send copies to officials
Consider approaching your student associations and faculty about getting a resolution passed at your university. Some sample resolutions are posted here:
- University of Toledo Faculty Senate Resolution — Toledo, OH
- UC Berkeley Graduate Assembly Resolution — Berkely, CA
- Palomar College Faculty Senate Resolution — San Marcos, CA
- Oregon State University Faculty Senate Resolution — Corvallis, OR
- New York University Student Bar Association Resolution — New York, NY
- California Federation of Teachers Resolution denouncing denial of education to Baha’is in Iran
The American Association of University Professors passed a resolution on June 15, 2008, urging the government of Iran to “remove barriers that deny access to higher education on religious or ethnic grounds.” In particular, the AAUP wants to ensure that Iran does not keep members of the Baha’i religious community “out of universities.”
